In this project, I picked my favorite inspirational quote that has at least 15 English letterforms. I then observed and found those 15+ letterforms in my surroundings. The forms could come from various sources, such as trees in a park, public transportation, or architectural formations.
Throughout the project, I:
- Selected an Inspirational Quote: I chose a quote that has special meaning to me and contains at least 15 letterforms.
- Explored My Environment: I carefully observed my surroundings to find each letterform from the quote in natural and man-made structures.
- Collected and Documented Letterforms: I took photographs and made sketches of the letterforms I discovered, ensuring they matched the characters in my chosen quote.
- Created a Typographic Composition: I arranged the collected letterforms to recreate the inspirational quote, showcasing how typography can be found and appreciated in everyday environments.
By the end of this project, I had developed a deeper appreciation for the presence of typography in the world around me and learned how to creatively incorporate environmental elements into typographic design.
