Individual Strengths

University of Alabamaā€™s, Crimson Tideā€™s head football coach, Paul ā€œBearā€ Bryant says, ā€œItā€™s not the will to win, but the will to prepare to win that makes the difference.ā€ I believe in change and as a nurse, I envision myself as a leader of change. In order to be a leader I commit myself to being reliable, determined to solving problems and making good decisions as well being held accountable to my team. As an experienced nursing team leader I have the ability to initiate and manage cross functional teams and multidisciplinary projects. Being a leader has reaffirmed the importance of delegation, working under pressure and resolving conflicts.

In order to best effect change, I hold myself to standards of honesty, sympathy, resourcefulness and learning quickly. I adapt to the new environment or changes in order to persist in adverse situations and donā€™t let them limit the patientā€™s best interest. Hospitalization can be a difficult situation for the patient and I strive to make the difference with genuine care. I speak on behalf of the patient in order to ensure the best care. The skills I have developed and grown through experience and advancing quickly have made me push myself harder to be better than before. I am self motivated, highly organized, manage time wisely and plan. It is in my nature to be proactive and persistent about effective ideas. My high levels of energy donā€™t wane at the end of the day, in fact – after work I come home and manage my household and go to class. I do this with the confidence that today my team has delivered the best possible care for any and every patient.
