My name is Monique Crawford, welcome to my eportfolio site. I graduated from New York City College of Technology with my Associates degree in Nursing in June of 2015. I became a registered nurse in the state of New York in July of 2015. Since then, I have been matriculated into the Bachelors degree program of nursing beginning August of 2015, with an expected graduation date of December 2016. Shortly after obtaining my state license to practice, I got my first job working with a city hospital on a medical step-down, ventilator and telemetry unit. Working this job has greatly enhanced my clinical practice, but being enrolled in the Bachelors degree program at the same time, has made my theoretical practice that much stronger. Both combined has helped me with my critical thinking skills, and has been helping to shape me into a more competent nurse. This professional portfolio will give you a glimpse of some of my best work as a student, from my education to my personal achievements. I plan to further broaden my horizons, and continue to build upon the foundation for which I have laid such a strong ground work by continuing my education towards an advanced nursing practice. I hope this can help to inspire, and even make someone aspire to fulfill their own professional dreams.
