Laboratory Skills:
- Basic laboratory skills such as pippetting, wastes disposal and safety procedures.
- Knowledgeable in the use of the 2100 Agilent Bioanalyzer and the 9700 Thermal cycler.
- Very familiar with the use of the 310 Genetic analyzer, PCR, GC, TLC, UV/VIS and IR instruments.
- Well informed in a wide variety of procedures such as Gel electrophoresis, RFLP analysis, mitochondrial DNA linear array, Chelex and Qiagen extraction methods, sequencing, STR typing using the Y filer and Profiler Plus kits from ABI.
Other Skills:
- Proficient with DentiMax, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and Power Point) and Agilent’s Chemstation Data Handling Software.
