At The Graphic Design Company I worked on a collaborative project to design a promotional menu for a Mexican restaurant, focusing specifically on their drinks. The project involved a small team of four: myself, the Supervisor and two other interns.
We communicated through Zoom meetings. In our initial meeting, we discussed the restaurant’s branding and the drink options that needed to be highlighted. Each intern created their own design layout for the menu. After we presented our individual designs, the Supervisor took ideas from each menu and made improvements.
One challenge I faced was organizing the drinks on the menu, as I don’t drink myself. I had difficulty figuring out how to present them in a smooth and appealing way. However, with Supervisor’s help and guidance, it became much easier. Her feedback helped me understand how to structure the menu effectively.
Overall, the project was successful. We developed diverse design concepts, and the Supervisor’s insights elevated our ideas, resulting in a polished menu that the client appreciated. This experience taught me valuable lessons about teamwork, communication, and the importance of seeking guidance when faced with challenges.
