My name is Maralyn Carter and I am a Registered Nurse. I have been a nurse for 10 years. I began my career in Nursing at Elmhurst Hospital Center, and I am still there to this day.   I have worked previously as a Psychiatric Nurse for 2 1/2 years, caring for children, adolescents and adults.  I am currently working as a Medical/Surgical and Telemetry Nurse (for the last 7 years). I am in school at this time pursuing my BSN degree, and expect to graduate in 2016.  I  will  then move on to my MSN studies. I  intend to pursue certification in both Psychiatric and Medical-Surgical Nursing.  I also have an interest in ‘Wound Care,’ and intend to learn and become experienced in this area.
