This project is a spooky cemetery entrance for Halloween day at Borough Hall. The purpose of this is to have a photo opportunity that incorporating the Gravesend Inn and Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos).

I love Halloween so when I had an opportunity to work on this project, I jumped on it. The Gravesend Inn was a haunted house attraction at City tech. In the past, it used to run every Halloween.
I am the set designer for this project. I am creating a spooky backdrop so people can immerse themselves into the Halloween experience. I will be creating the measurements of each wall and drawing out the designs on each wall. We will have lots of skeletons, spooky portraits, altars and more.

I predict problems to arise. I hope to solve this as soon as possible or maybe have some substitutions. I hope this project helps me gain skills that set designers obtain. Also, I hope people enjoy it and post about it on social media. I hope it to be scary but still enjoyable for kids.

Once I have all the wall ideas to pitch, one will get picked and we will move on to drafting, elevations and budgeting. This is targeting to Halloween lovers, adults & kids. Moving forward, I will definitely like to experience new challenges and successes for any future event to become even better at set designing. I would also like to improve my communication skills so I can better direct people helping create my vision.
