My name is Marlon Irizarry and I have lived in Brooklyn, N.Y my entire life. My mother Elizabeth was born in Costa Rica and my father originates from Puerto Rico. I currently attend New York City College of Technology and I intend on receiving my bachelor’s degree. My major for almost two years was Computer Networking and I later found a passion in Human services (current major). I would like to work with both the elderly and young adults.
After receiving my bachelor’s degree in Human Services I would like to further pursue my education by achieving my Master’s degree in counseling. I want to continue learning about different methods and situations that come with being a human service worker. As much knowledge and information I can get; I am more than happy to receive. I am hoping this opens up many other opportunities because it starts with knowing how to deal with people and having a sense of understanding them. I am looking forward to getting field work and talking amongst anyone and everyone willing to listen. I want to be the one who inspires and I want to be known as someone that gives everything they got at whatever task is put in front of them.
