The most interesting project to me at the Brooklyn Navy Yard is the oyster reef restoration project. It is my first time hearing that an oyster is a water cleaner. I did research online and found out that one of the obvious contributions that oysters do to the ecosystem is filtering feeders, which improve water quality while they filter their food from the water. It can have a direct impact on commercial revenues by having more harvest from fishing due to the improvement of environmental living condition. It also can be considered as coastal protection caused by natural disaster.
Will be great if that solar panel heat all the required water for the building, I am aiming to install one at home soon.
