A 46 years old female smoker presented with generalized recession and cratered interdental papillae. Gingival tissue was inflammed and bulbous. Generalized supra-gingival and sub-gingival calculus was present with generalized staining. Patient received root scaling, polishing and 5% fluoride varnish. In addition patient received oral hygiene instructions of floosing, modified bass toothbrush technique and oral rinse.
