This is a special topics, interdisciplinary, place-based course. What does that mean?
This course is taught by faculty from Library Department and includes guest lectures from faculty in the Hospitality, Architecture, Human Services, and Humanities Department as well as facilitated visits and lectures from activists and experts outside of City Tech.
During the course of the semester, we will conduct site visits and travel off campus.
This semester, we will explore public spaces and sites along the south Brooklyn waterfront. We will examine issues related to ecology, urban planning, and social justice.
The assignments for this course will involve different kinds of research and public interventions that you will participate in, observe, document, and analyze.
