Summary of “Its hard enough being me”

In the essay “Its hard enough being me” by Anna Lisa Raya presents the topic of the difficulties of being a minority. In the essay Raya also brings up the topic of discrimination towards minorities and how she was facing it in her childhood. Raya talked about how she faced identity crisis when she went to college.

She also brought up the fact that her classmates had prejudices against her even though she was not Latina seeing as she couldn’t even speak Spanish. In conclusion Anna Lisa Raya writes about how she went through an identity crisis that rooted from going away for college.
