Our final project is to address the gentrification and rent increases in Williamsburg. It is a spatial intervention in Domino Park on a raised platform. Our objective is to confront the rich people who have caused rent increases and raise awareness of the issues caused by gentrification. (Homelessness, rent increases, and neighborhood culture being erased.) We don’t expect gentrification to be solved all together or cause any big changes. We want to bring the problem to the people that have helped cause it in the form of a silent choreographed movement and give out informational zines while “moving out” after eviction.
