I wrote a thank you letter to a web design company thanking them for taking the time to interview me. I have applied to a job in Manhattan as a temporary web designer not to long ago and they gave me the interview. The reason i decided to do this is because I believe that a lot of people after they get a job interview dont send out thank you letters. I believe it can be helpful because it helps you stand out a lot from other applicants and it gets your foot in the door more easy.
Actions that i took addressing goodwill in this memo was using reader benefits. I wanted to help the reader feel good about themselves in taking the time to interview me and having them see I am highly interested in the job position they offer.
