Crear Futuros hiring peer mentors
The City Tech CREAR Futuros program is looking to hire peer-mentors for the 2018-2019 academic year.
This is a paid position and we are looking for academically strong, motivated, and engaging students who can role model and support incoming students during their first year of college. City Tech CREAR Futuros IS Hiring Peer Mentors!
City Tech’s Crear Futuros is a peer mentoring program designed to bring increased attention and resources and improving educational achievement and economic opportunity for students attending their first year of college in CUNY schools. We are looking to hire peer-mentors for the 2018-2019 academic year. Interested students must interview and if selected must commit to the program for a full academic year.
Criteria for becoming a Crear Futuros Mentor:
Must have successfully completed at least 30 credits and be in good academic standing.
Must be able to commit to one full academic year to the program as an enrolled student.
Must be comfortable with public speaking, running workshops, and facilitating groups.
Must be a self-starter, independent, and take initiative.
Must be enthusiastic, responsible, friendly, and outgoing.
Must be able to collaborate and work productively in a team.
Must be organized and dependable.
Must have a cumulative 3.5 GPA*.
Must commit to 20 hours a week (on-campus and remote)
