In Nicholas Carr’s “Is Google Making Us Stupid” The author makes very good points both Negative and positive. Carr Says “Research that once required days in the stacks or periodical rooms of libraries can now be done within minutes.” That is a good thing now and days because it speed up the learning process or the process period for whatever someone may be trying to do that requires research, and is helpful for someone who might be an extremely busy individual. For a negative effect, Carr states in his piece that Bruce Friedman, Who Blogs regularly about the use of computers in medicine, describes how the use of internet has altered his mental habits.”  Bruce Friedman Says “I now have almost totally lost the ability to read and absorb a longish article on the web or in print.”  That part of Carr’s piece made me realize that i am the exact same way because i rely on internet too much now and days, which results in me losing focus quickly on pieces of writing and not being able to understand many pieces of writing in a deeper level. This helped my realize that the internet is training my mind to be able to just absorb summarized pieces that explain everything for me instead of me doing it on my own.

Having someone check your work for mistakes you could’ve made is a great thing. This doing such, can help you improve in certain areas such as Grammar or even help you give the reader a better understanding of what you are writing about. From the reviews i received about my draft there’s places where i can definitely improve such as getting to my point faster and not give extra information (background) about a certain person or thing because it wouldn’t matter in the situation. In My draft  i was also showed that i need to make what my topic is about because i am writing about a lot of things at the same time. I also realized i missed the main assignment because i didn’t choose one rhetorical choice from my choice of readings and most importantly i didn’t make clear which reading i chose to write about between “Dream” And “Jail”.  i must also cite where i am getting my information from such as quotes i might be using or things like that. A positive thing this process shows is that i have knowledge on my readings and i am familiar with a lot of the rhetorical choices king makes which can help me a lot when i decide which one to focus on for my final draft. There’s a lot of huge improvements i must make to my essay be successful and succeed in this assignment.
