For the research revision essay, I will use my Lens Essay because I am more interest in finding how different technology influence people’s brain and the bad influence of technology do to the brain. This time I want to know it in a deeper way. For my lens essay, I know my writing have lot of shallow sentence instead of go Deeping down. Also, for the connection of Brain Plasticity cause people who using technology become addictive, I feel like I need more ideas to support that, and I will like to find more information to support me my claim. In order to do so, I have to come up with a scholarly question that I would like to pursue: what could be both cause and effect of Brain Plasticity do to our brain?

According to the article “Is Google Making Us Stupid? ” by Nicholas Carr, the different point of view to support his idea about internet. In the article, the lens of “Brain Plasticity” is  more interesting than other. It means how our brains adapt to new situations, and it could be more affect than we think. The exhibit that I choose to support the lens is ” Complex brain functions help adapt to new situations and stimuli ” by David Badre. It talks about Our brain have the ability to take action during difficulty simulation, even in an uncertain situation. The brain functions can help adapt to new situations or even change it.

After reading CARR’s article “Is Google Making Us Stupid” , I realized the powerful of the affect by internet is huge than I think. In the reading, the most surprise point to me is internet have the power to change people’s way of thinking. It mentions “…as we come to rely on computers to mediate our understanding of the world, it is our own intelligence that flattens into artificial intelligence”. It means as people keep rely on computers, one day we will lost our ability of other things because we are using computer for everything. Example like the abilities of reading and to think deeply. However, one day the people who use computer all the time can’t will lost those things because the computer have change them.

During the re-vision exercise, I found out there are a lot of things I need to correct. Peer review is a good idea because I can saw how was my partner’s essay different form mine, and I realize there are so much stuff I can write about. So much ideas are hard to think up, but when look at others it is become so easy and I keep thinking why I can’t think that up before. When I got back my essay, I saw so many mistakes that I never realize. Of course, it is my own writing, I understand what I am write about. But other who read my essay may not. So I need to make sure my writing is clear and understandable. It is kind of short of my easy, so I need to make sure I did develop my idea as much as I can. First, I know that I need to check my grammar again and again. Second, I need to think deeply to the choice I choose. Last, I need to revise my essay again. Also, in my peer’s comment I know I writed  to much specific details. That may look like a summary. For the positive part of my writing are the explanation of the metaphot, it was well written.

In the speech “I Have A Dream” by Martin Luther King Jr, he first started to refers Lincoln’s famous Gettysburg speech to address about dream of freedom for the black American citizens are never treated the same as white Americans. The segregation and discrimination have become part of black’s daily life. Now, it is time to stranded up for our freedom and justice. In the speech, one rhetorical feature that interests me are metaphors; because it like a example that made me understand better. I like the metaphor of cashing the check (p2) to represent the right of black Americans. In the constitution and Declaration of Independence, it promise all men have the equal right of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. But it never gave negro the right that have been promised. So, King refer it as a “bad check” to black American.  It is a interesting metaphor that can let reader to create a strong and clear images because they have to think deep in to it. If King just wrote black American did not get their freedom without using metaphor. It probably sound’s boring.
