I have been working as a team nurse (leader) of small teams which I always involve patient care associates (PCA) and clerks in the decisions so that they feel involved and ensure they have the opportunities to contribute to tasks facing the team. I have effective delegation and critical thinking skills to ensure assignment are being done in a timely manner. I am multilingual (English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Taishanese) and able to provide cultural sensitive care which meets the expectation of patients and their families. I work well either leading or being part of a team and I am self-motivated and capable of multitask. With my strong communication skills, I have been able to motivate the staff to higher standards of performance to increase patient safety and patient satisfaction. I have been able to communicate effectively with all members of healthcare team. I maintain my competence through participate in continuing and higher education programs, such as returning to school to obtain by bachelor of science in nursing (BSN). I also make sure that I have up- to- date knowledge to provide high quality and safe patient care. I act as a receptor for nursing students and support the development of other staff.  I always follow the lines of authority according to the organizational chart.
