In this video, starting at 8:20 Mary Jo Hadda talks about how she feels that technology in the classroom can be detrimental to learning. She gives multiple examples in the video about her views on why face to face teaching matters more than technology but what really stood out is how she noticed students were sitting at a desk with headphones and computers and no collaborative learning and communication was present.
I was scrolling on twitter one day and noticed this video of a child in a store full of tablets and computers, completing his homework because he didn’t have access to one at home. This makes me feel like the more technology is demanded in regards to learning the more it may affect the kids that have no way of performing an expected task that requires the internet outside of school.
