All in all, I didn’t have to sign a non disclosure agreement. Majority of my work doesn’t have to deal with images beyond what CUNY gives me if I ever had to deal with using images in my work. Though logos are a separate issue. I directly recall them saying while I can mock up a logo for a template project I was working on, it cannot be used in the official template. CUNY, based on what I saw, isn’t big on varied font use so the usual Arial is used according to their brand guidelines. However this time, I was told to use Open Sans, which is also free to use commercially.
