Children’s Cavity Care to Prevent Early Childhood Caries
As part of our Public Health course we were asked to provide an educational service to increase awareness and behavioral change for optimal health. Our target audience was intended for expecting mothers since many mothers out there are not educated on the proper care for their newborns teeth. Our goal was to show them the dangers of conditions such as Early childhood cares (ECC) and Baby Bottle Rot. Our group presented using easy and informative explanations along with powerpoint visuals and recommended proper oral hygiene instructions. Each participant received a children’s take home kit containing proper tools to care for their new baby’s primary dentition.
