This is the first Graphic Communication course that I’ve attended and for a while I had no idea what graphic communication actually meant. While in high school I have taken three semesters of Multimedia and three semesters of Cisco. In Multimedia I have acquired skills in Photoshop, Flash, and Dreamweaver; through Cisco I have learn how to repair internet connection, set up a router, and how to host a website. What truly inspired my interest in the Advertising design major was my love for creating things and also my love for anime. As I watch these shows I begin to lust for a life that the characters experience and so I realized that since I can’t live it then I should create it. This field makes me feel like a god, the power to create people and decide their looks, skills, and fate.

I am currently attending City Tech college where I have met many different artist and writers each inspiring me in their own way with their idea. I am happy that I have met them because I can truly say that I do not have a specific artist that has inspired me. Most of my inspiration for art comes from my creation of stories and most of those are inspired by World of Warcraft. The visual graphic of World of Warcraft amazes me and drags me in inspiring me to one day become good enough to rival their style. The video linked is of a cut scene from one of World of Warcraft latest boss “Deathwing.” I reason I linked this video was because of the feeling it gave me, I felt empowered somehow and when ever i see this video I think of throwing my life away for a chance to create something so detailed. But one can only dream cause like my quoted say My dreams are “Nothing more than dust in the Wind“.
