My Nursing Philosophy
In my life I always have ideas, guidelines, goals that put me in the place where I am right now.
I am proud to be educated woman, and I am proud to be a nurse.
The reason why I chose this profession is because I want to help people, make difference
in their lives, feel that people need me, and my work means something not only to me but also to
others. Secondary reason it that I always wanted to follow my mother steps. Wear the same
uniform she was wearing, look like her, be knowable as her, be a nurse like she was. My mother
was, and she still is my role model.
My philosophy of nursing is to be compassion every day about my work. Be able to see
sense, value, and future in everything I do. Be able to serve people, regardless of their gender,
race, age, sexual orientation, religious preference or socioeconomic status, at the highest possible
level, with respect, empathy, and dignity. Be able to say every day that I love my job, and take
care of my patients with a smile on my face.
“It is not how much you do but how much love you put in the doing” ( Mother Teresa).
