In the documentary “Cave of Forgotten Dreams”, we are shown a cave that has various illustrations inside of it which were created a very long time ago. Once the cave was found, a sort of bridge was created so that a group of archaeologists could explore the cave and study it without damaging any of the historical things found in the cave. Since these scientists are limited to walking on the bridge, the most they could do is take photos of the draw q12ings and analyze them back at their headquarters. When they do go back to their headquarters they show us the process that they go through in order to better understand the people that made these drawing a long time ago. This whole documentary is an attempt at trying to see the world as the people of the past saw it, but various times throughout the film the scientists tell us that we are only left with our imagination. This documentary concludes by showing what the valley has turned into now, simply by showing a reptile swimming around in a green house, therefore leaving us a message of what we can do to preserve our environment.
