I think Poe wrote this poem to show us the difference in perspective between those that live a normal childhood and those that live with a troublesome childhood

This might be directed to anyone that feels “alone” because of the unique way they see the world

This is a poem about difference in perspectives

Stance:
Poe is in the shoes of someone with a troubling childhood, and because of it he sees the world differently from those with normal childhoods
Media/Design:
This poem is very widespread because of the internet and books, but through it’s transmission by voice is when you feel the full impact of the poem
