I first took photography about 15 years ago, with black and white film and a dark room. My recent collection of photos was taken with my phone and digital camera. Mostly in nature since it’s my favorite place to be.

This project was to design an information panel for a museum exhibit. We were to pick a topic of a current exhibit that was happening currently at the city museums. I choose Reconstructions: Architecture and Blackness in America at the MoMA
Research for this project was very educational. Not only did I learn about successful black architects but the history of the geographic location they were designing for. It definitely brought a different aspect to design. Very futuristic and unique.
Projects and class work done in high school
Looking back at some of these makes me want to redesign them using the Adobe suite. The program used at that time may have been Corel or something that started with a “C”.
Choose a designer who’s work you admire. Design a booklet for one of their exhibits. Incorporate their style and work in the design. Place your initials on the back of the booklet as part of the design.
Create an image in a bottle. I choose an island. The though behind the design was to be able to take your dream destination anywhere with you
Wouldn’t it be nice to take an island getaway with you anywhere? Pop open the bottle and you would magically be there. Dare to dream!
Sketches, and drawings done over the course of time.
Did not take figure and foundation drawing classes during my communication design program. Some of these were done in high school and on my free time.
The objective for this project was to pick a magazine of your choice, choose a section in that magazine and design a four-page spread magazine article. Thumbnails and research were to be provided before designing began. Final prints were trimmed and placed to fit inside an actual magazine
This project was very engaging for me as it projected one of my favorite hobbies. Wanted the look and feel to represent the subject matter and engage those who might be interested in horticulture.
Create a magazine layout using all principles and elements of design taught so far. Subject matter is of your choice.
Cooking, baking and horticulture activities is something I like to do when I have some spare time. I though creating a spread on blueberry cornbread would help express that. Pictures were taken from Pinterest
