My three quotes I made are influenced by Frederick Douglass because he was one of the most important men in black history. I also thought about a effective way I could make his quote “If there Is no struggle, there is no progress” into a good visual concept by adding images to it and a typeface. 

For my first concept I mostly focus on the main picture which shows a arm making a muscle to represent the quote in a strong way. The main words I focused on was progress and struggle because I think of progress as success.

For my second concept I used a black background and white type. The reason for this is I wanted the typeface to have more exposure. I feel the typeface is perfect for the quote because it adds a bit of drama to it.  

For my third concept I let the image speak for itself by adding a picture of Frederick Douglass the famous freedom fighter. I put the quote on the left side of him to give it a powerful feel to it.
