Hey everyone! I’m excited to kick off my internship journey by sharing some insights into the company I’m working with this semester: the Office of Educational Research and Assessment at Brooklyn College. Let’s dive right in!
First off, let me give you the rundown on the Office of Educational Research and Assessment. It’s a vital department within Brooklyn College, responsible for conducting research, analyzing data, and assessing educational programs to enhance student learning and success. As part of the City University of New York (CUNY) system, Brooklyn College is a public institution, serving a diverse community of students from all walks of life.
Founded in 1930, Brooklyn College has a rich history of academic excellence and community engagement. From its humble beginnings to its current status as a leading educational institution, the college has played a pivotal role in shaping the minds and futures of countless students over the years.
As for the Office of Educational Research and Assessment, it’s a relatively small department compared to other divisions within the college. However, don’t let its size fool you – it packs a punch when it comes to making a positive impact on student learning outcomes. Currently we finally have a complete team of four for the internship, which is very exciting!
