Reflecting on my time at Brooklyn College, I wanted to share an aspect of my experience that has been particularly meaningful: mentorship. While many interns often attend virtual events or connect with various mentors, my journey took a slightly different route.

Throughout my internship, I didn’t attend any formal virtual events. Instead, my main source of guidance and inspiration came from our regular meetings. Led by my supervisor, Isana, these sessions became invaluable moments of learning and growth.

Isana wasn’t just a supervisor to me; she became a mentor. From the start, she provided unwavering support, offering feedback on my projects and sharing her expertise on navigating the industry. Her mentorship was instrumental in shaping my internship experience and fostering my professional development.

Despite not meeting a wide array of role models or mentors, I found everything I needed in Isana. Her guidance, patience, and genuine care made all the difference in my journey at Brooklyn College.

As I continue on my career path, I carry with me the lessons learned and the mentorship received from Isana. While my internship may be over, the impact of her guidance will stay with me for years to come.
