About Me

My name is Janelle Cordero. I am sophomore at the New York City College of Technology. I attended East Bronx Academy for the Future for high school. Through my many classes and coursework, I found many interests and I am always open to trying new things. I enjoy coursework in computation, economics, and recently, graphic arts and advertising. I have taken my first introductory course in Graphic Communications and I feel I encountered a newfound passion. Now, every poster, brochure, and webpage strikes me as a graphic advertising tool. I now have a new perspective on design that I would have never experienced before. I have personal experience with Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. I find public works of art very visually appealing. I am also attracted to magazines such as Essence and Elle. I enjoy reading these magazines because of the beautiful eye-catching visuals that are used to inspire fashion, beauty, and lifestyle. I am now very interested in design magazines as well, such as How Design. This magazine provides me with inspiration for my own projects. I plan on continuing my journey as a graphic artist and learning so many more new things along my path.
