Cutler Salon, located in the heart of Soho, is a renowned name in the hair industry. It is celebrated for its innovative approach to hair artistry and collaborations with top designers and brands. As an intern at Cutler, I had the unique opportunity to immerse myself in the dynamic world of fashion and beauty. One highlight of my time there was working backstage at New York Fashion Week with designer Melitta Baumeister for their debut, where I served as a production assistant, ensuring seamless transitions for models through hair, makeup, skincare, and wardrobe. Additionally, I contributed to Cutler Salons’ social media presence by capturing and curating behind-the-scenes content for their Instagram. My role extended to editing and copywriting for the salon’s assistant manual, encompassing color and cutting. This involved organizing photoshoots, coordinating meetings between departments, and conceptualizing the visual design of the manuals. These experiences allowed me to develop organizational, creative, and collaborative skills while contributing to the salon’s innovative legacy.
