Learning Self-Analysis for the Program

Professional preparation as a nurse includes promotion of lifelong learning, social responsibility, and service.  The goal of this RN-to-BSN program was to provide opportunities for us to acquire the knowledge necessary to provide nursing care which promotes adaptation of the person, family, and community. This knowledge was provided to us within a liberal arts experience which emphasizes honesty, integrity, civility, and a strong sense of personal responsibility. I was fortunate to be able to meet some of the most wonderful, caring and passionate educators I’ve ever dealt with during this outstanding program.

This program was able to offer professional nursing leadership skills with technical proficiency in the care of clients, families, and communities and in the management of physical, fiscal, and human resources.  I’m able to practice the principles of communication, client education, and client advocacy. I’m committed to individual and professional growth as lifelong learners through continuing education, reading refereed professional journals, and participating in shaping the health-care delivery system. I can provide, delegate, and/or supervise nursing care based on current knowledge, theory, and research to promote holism and adaptation as evidenced by the ability to assess and diagnose the health status of diverse individuals, families, and communities and by the ability to plan, implement, and evaluate the care for diverse individuals, families, and communities. Also, this program gave me an opportunity to evaluate my potential career choices within the nursing profession based on emerging skills and personal strengths and abilities.

Sample of a Coursework

Here is a sample_paper of a course work that I’ve taken prior.

My Strengths

I have a very caring and friendly personality and have a real compassion for people. I love developing close relationships with people of all ages and nationalities, and most importantly helping people.  I believe that I have demonstrated through my qualifications that I am able to study at a higher level. Therefore, I can commit myself to hard work.

Good communication and interpersonal skills are also vital to being a successful nurse, and I have the confidence and ability to interact with both patients and senior members of staff. I’m also able to use my skills to offer support, teach and advice. My future goal would be to progress into a senior role within the my current organization.

I also want to embark on a career particularly in maternal-child nursing because I would like chance to work closely with doctors, physiotherapists, pharmacists and healthcare assistants. Nursing is a career that offers longevity, security and real opportunities to grow as an individual and the chance to develop my own personal strengths. I want a more fulfilling career where I come home feeling happy that I have managed to make a difference to someone’s life.

I would finally to add that I have the confidence to embrace the challenges of nursing and use these challenges to push myself further. I believe that my friendly and caring personality, passion for my profession, and work ethic accurately and truthfully displays my competence to embark on a career in the field of nursing. I am very grateful that I had an opportunity of returning to college to train in an area that I’m very passionate about.  Being in the BSN program has offered me to apply my critical thinking and problem-solving skills in order to provide nursing care that promotes holism and adaptation by discovering research questions, critically analyzing research, and applying research to practice.
