During my three years at City Tech I took many classes and spent many hours in clinic, in addition to the  different community service/ outreach programs I participated in.  All of these experiences qualify me to be a great dental  hygienist.

I have seen 90+ patients in our school clinic with a varied age gap ranging from small children to senior citizens. I have not only cleaned these patient’s teeth using hand instrumentation and ultrasonics, but also educated them and gave them home care instruction based on their personal oral health status. From different class lectures and lectures given by brand name products  I have the knowledge and I am able to recommend patients the right product that suits their specific needs. I have experience placing rubber-dam sealants as well as cotton roll sealants, air-flow airpolish, and taking impressions. I also have experience with placing  Arestin successfully. I am comfortable taking radiographs digitally or with film. I am comfortable with the dentimax program. I am licensed and comfortable anesthetizing patients with local infiltrations, as well as with nitrous oxide.
