As a class we participated in the New York Smiles Program sponsored by Colgate at the Greater New York Dental Meeting at the Jacob Javits Center in New York.  This program was for public school classes ages 6-12, to learn about nutrition and oral hygiene. Patients were also screened for caries if they had parental consent. We were divided into different groups, some taught brushing, some screened children, and others entertained and taught the children about nutrition.
