Hi my name is Hanifa Shairzai, soon to be Dental Hygienist. I was born and raised in New York City. My parents were refugees from Afghanistan who came to America. I have never been to Afghanistan but always dreamed about helping the people in Afghanistan. Mainly because there is so many people in need of medical and dental care. I’m very happy to be in a Field were I can help others. Over the course of these past couple of years, I’ve Learned a lot about myself. I get along with everyone and I have worked amazing under pressure. I am hoping to utilize my skills in Afghanistan. They have no dental offices in Afghanistan, and it really breaks my heart. After I graduate, I hope to visit Afghanistan for the first time. I want to provide as much as I can. I wanted to start off with an orphanage home that my dad and husband have been sponsoring. I’m really excited and grateful to finally have an opportunity to do so.
