The growth rate for e-waste is projected to be three times that of normal waste and will negatively impact the environment as well as other risks to human health. With the differing economies, cultures, politics and technical capabilities a cohesive approach to this problem could be achieved by having one centralized body or organization providing oversight and implement binding world agreement towards the disposal of e-waste.
The disposal of e-waste throughout the world should follow the “Old for New” policy and countries should be held responsible and accountable based on their contribution to the problem. Laws governing e-waste should be strengthened and strictly enforced so as to raise the fear of detection and e-waste should be placed into categories.
