Your network’s first line of defense.

The firewall acts as a barrier for your network and the wild environment in the Internet. Without this barrier, you’re essentially allowing unfiltered traffic to be passing through your network. This fine and all if you can accept the risks, but highly discouraged if you are handling sensitive data from your company.
You may have heard about DDoS attacks. If not, there’s no worry. DDoS stands for Distributed Denial of Service. This is an attack that aims to disrupt a network through unleashing a ton of traffic towards it.
Think of it like a highway. Imagine a highway route that isn’t normally congested at a certain point of time. All of sudden, the route is jammed full of cars, and traffic isn’t flowing as it should be. That is a DDoS attack.
