Welcome to Haluhi Kato’s ePortfolio !

My name is Haluhi Kato, I am a senior student majored in Business and Technology of Fashion in New York City College of Technology, City University of New York.

I created ePortfolio to describe Business of Fashion courses and achievements of my projects.


INTRODUCTION

Haluhi Kato describes herself as a motivated youth. With strong enthusiasm for career, she started working as an intern since her sophomore year of college and experienced at several fashion firms including Organico showroom as public relation, freelance stylist assistant for fashion magazines, events such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and Isetan Mitsukoshi as merchandising / buyer intern. Currently she interns at Kaarem, women’s wear brand based in Brooklyn, NY.

 


 

MISSION STATEMENT

Haluhi Kato’s mission is to consistently produce excellent work by approaching challenges with a sense of optimistic resilience, simultaneously elevating the work of those around her. Haluhi Kato embraces different perspectives and value their role in better decision-making in order to empower her team to create their own life’s work.

 


LOGO

As a student who pursue career in the fashion industry, it was nature for her to create a logo which would associate with her own brand in the future. Kato’s brand logo shows simplicity yet bold impression which would be perfect to identify brand value as well as target market who are sophisticated and effortless beauty.  As a font, Kato chose to utilize Gill Sans which was designed by Eric Gill in 1920s. Gill Sans has always been her personal favorite font since it shows minimalistic feels yet bold impression.


 

CHARACTERISTIC

Haluhi Kato describes herself as an independent and efficient worker who pays attention to details in terms of work or people around her. She often cares and is able to notice small details which guide her team to improve and solve a problem. She is also highly organized, a multitasker. Because of these characteristics, she has an ability to learn fast and often find the best ways to work / live efficiently.

Haluhi Kato values quality and dedication. She has high respect for craftsmanship and hard work for those who love and focused on what they pursue. She values people around her with trust and quality of relationship, as well as believing in networking that helps and benefits people around her without expecting return.

 


 

PROFESSIONAL LONG TERM GOALS

  • Becoming a senior buying at a highly known store 
  • Starting own business, small boutique in NYC
  • Work with Japanese clients (brands/buyers/stores)
  • Work on international relations as a consultant in fashion/magazine
