INTRODUCTORY PAGE
Hello, my name is Heather Baker. I am currently a practicing Registered Nurse for the pass thirteen years. I work at Kings Brook Jewish, Rutland Nursing Home. I work on the Sub acute Rehab unit, which holds a census of seventy four patients. The unit consist of two RNs, two LPNs, and eight nursing assistance. So as you can see, based on this staffing, I have a daily rough scheduled with running the unit, while on the other hand, fulfilling my schooling obligation.
I have graduated from Medgar Evers College in the year of 2000,with my AAS in Nursing, and now completing my final semester for my BSN in Nursing. During this pathway for my BSN, I have learned many important skills, I have derived at what type of a learner I am, I have seen the major difference between The AAS Program when compared to the BSN Program. The two challenging courses for me was Physical Assessment and Research. Wow, I have learned so much in my Research course. It enables me now to better understand reading major articles. I must say, I have acquired more knowledge after enrolling in the BSN Program.
As I about to complete this pathway in my life, I will continue to strive much higher towards my dreams. I am hoping to become a Nurse Practitioner and one day to own my own Nursing Agency.
