Restorative Dentistry CAD/CAM Continuing Education 1.2015

An introduction to the theory and practice of fabricating dental prosthetics digitally. Students are expected to have a general understanding of Microsoft Windows, importing/exporting files and PowerPoint. The course will explore the theoretical study of CAD/CAM systems as it pertains to open and closed architecture, material selection and final prosthesis. A practical study of the art and science behind computer aided design and computer aided manufacturing of individual copings and multiple unit frameworks, digitally manipulating and morphing, importing and exporting stl. digital files, nesting and computer aided manufacturing of digital design renderings.
