1. Solve x/6 + 3x/2 = 4/5 – 2x/15. To get credit, you must find the LCD and clear all the denominators.
For this question, the answer I got is x=2.33.
x/6 + 3x/2 = 4/5 – 2x/15 Check
LCD=6 LCD=15 1/6 + 3(1)/2 = 4/5 – 2(1)/15
6 + 9x = 12-2x 1 + 9 = 12 – 2
x + 9x = 12 – 2x 10 = 10
10x = 12 – 2x
+2x +2x
12x/12 = 12/12
x = 1
LCD:30 : 5x/30+45x/30=24/30-4x/30 : 5x+45x=24-4x : 50x=24-4x : 54x/54=24/54 : [x=0.4]
