My major is Fashion Marketing and my hobbies include fashion design. For that reason I am surrounded by math on a daily bases. Fashion Design is not just sitting at an easel drawing pretty dresses all day. It is a complex job that requires artistic, technical and business skills. All aspects of Fashion Design require math. If you were to think about the shirt and jeans that you wearing you will realize how important math contributes. It is used in patten design and pattern making. They are cut and measured specifically for your size or shape. Where as for Fashion Marketing; I love the business side of fashion. Learning to build your own business from scratch is rewarding and to order to get there it requires math. Learning the bases of budgeting expenses or quantity of clothing.How much to save or put into the bank. Math simply contributes a lot in life. It is for that reason that math is apart of my everyday life and it is good to have a good understanding of such.
