Stationary Nerf Sentry Gun

Our idea for our final project is a stationary nerf sentry gun. A sentry gun is able to automatically aim and fire at targets. Therefore it will have two standard servo motors to help it pan, and two continuous rotation servo motors to assist with the firing. We will use the IOIO microcontroller to help us achieve all this. Communication will occur through a Bluetooth connection between the IOIO board and an Android device running our app. The app will also allow for manual control. With a camera attached, it will be able to sense targets with a face-recognition algorithm. Upon recognition of the target, the gun will open fire. To stabilize the gun, the base will be a tripod.
