Occlusal Rims

Occlusal rims are to set up the teeth on them. To make an occlusal you have to heat up the record base wax until its soft enough to roll up or fold up. Once that”s done you have to place it on top the record base and push it down then spread the wax over the record base. The length of occlusal rims has to be 22mm for the maxillary and 18mm for the mandible. The width has to be between 6-8 mm on the anterior and 8-10mm on the posterior .
