Portfolio Description

Itzcoatl Quiroz is a designer/creative director that has worked for some of fashions biggest names. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. Itzy reached a love for fashion at an early age due to his mother, who loved to get creative in putting outfits together on Itzy and his sibilings. His mother also influneced him due to her past. Itzys mother was very big in the art scene and fashion scene in the early 90s, meeting artists like Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith haring, and George Condo due to her working as an art curator. Upon meeting these people she also became good friends with them and had the opportunity to meet many designers such as Alexander Mcqueen, Rei KawaKubo, Vivienne Westwood, and Marc Jacobs just to name a few. A heavy influence was also Itzys uncle, who was one of the first to work for Supremenewyork in 1994. Due to this his uncle would introduce him to strretwear and would introduce him to brands like Bape, Stussy, and Supremenewyork. His uncle was one of the first skaters to wear bape aswell in New York City so he had the opportunity to meet and become good friends with Nigo and he was also really close to Shawn Stussy himself.
Itzy would go on to work for Marc Jacobs as a design Intern, Thom Browne as a Design Intern, and for Supremenewyork as a Design Intern as well. Itzy has also been working on his own clothing line and is still working as design consultant as well as a freelance designer. Itzy is currently working towards his Bachelors Degree in Business of Fashion and Technology Design, in the New York City College Of Technology in order to continue his career in fashion.
