This is a scale model of a space Telescope launched on April 1990. Named the Hubble Telescope after Edwin Hubble who showed us that those delightful specs of light in the night sky were not just stars and constellations but light emanating from distant galaxies.Since its launch and after its problems with aberration were solved it became one of our primary sources for information about the universe and to this day it still shocks us with amazing images of the vast universe. In fact without the Hubble telescope humanity would be years behind in astronomy.we would probably still be oblivious to black holes, the expansion of the universe, and the age of the universe. it has now been orbiting this earth for over 20 years and will hopefully continue to do so for many more years.
