Course Description
An introduction to college writing for incoming freshman, ENG1101 serves multiple purposes. It is an introduction to the processes, rhetorical situations, structures and registers of college writing and reading, and it introduces students to discourse communities and practices of college. As a course, that includes several types of writing assignments across writing platforms and genres. The course is a practicum for understanding and engaging with college writing assignments and critical reading practices.
