I am an Assistant Professor in the Computer Systems Department. I currently teach relational and non-relational database theory and practice in the BTech curriculum. In my courses, I incorporate ethical topics related to computers. I believe that by raising awareness of the impact technology can have on society, students are better prepared to assume an ethical and technical role in the business environment. Prior to my academic position, I worked as a database administrator where I realized that technical expertise is only part of the skill set needed to succeed in a business setting. My research focuses on the mechanisms used to organize big data in search result pages of major search engines. In addition, I am conducting research related to techniques for incorporating ethics in computer curriculum, specifically in data science curriculum.
