Project Description

This project is created for DEN1200 Students and Faculty only. It is used for communication, announcements, and calibration for all enrolled DEN1200 students. DEN 1200 is a continuation of the principles and techniques involved in the practice of dental hygiene as introduced in DEN 1100. This course focuses on the transition into clinical practice with a didactic concentration on evidence-based dental hygiene practices and research. The development of clinical proficiencies continues with the introduction and advancement of patient documentation, treatment and home care planning, periodontal and powered instrumentation skills, pain control techniques, and fluoride application. Students render dental hygiene services to patients in a clinical setting to strengthen and reinforce patient assessment skills and formulation of dental hygiene diagnosis and treatment.
