The Garamond was first designed by Claude Garamond in the early 1530-1533. The typeface was first used by Robert Estienne in a copy of the Manutius model. It became very popular because it was very easy to read through books and displays. Garamond has a thin and thick stroke weight, soft rounded serifs, s flat shape top serifs, heavy brackets, and the axis is upright. This is applicable dealing with the body of text or anything else because it is modern.
